Hindustan Times | Haryana government releases CCTV video of suspected serial rapist from Haryanasi

Haryanvi Nirbhaya’s murder in Haryasagarh on January 17 has prompted the government to release CCTV video and a video of a suspected serial rape survivor.

In the video, Nirbhayas accused of sexually assaulting and sexually abusing her in the name of religion is shown, along with two men who can be identified by their uniforms.

The video shows the survivor lying on the ground as the accused allegedly walks towards her.

In another part of the video the accused is seen carrying her into a room, and another man is seen pushing her.

The woman says she was sexually assaulted by a man while she was in her home on December 15, 2015.

The survivor told the police that she was repeatedly raped by two men from Harkashan who were not her family members.

The video also shows the accused, who has been identified as Rajinder Singh, entering the room.

The accused has been arrested.

Haryana’s police commissioner has also issued a press release saying that the woman’s family members are still absconding and that police will soon arrest them.

The victim had gone to Harkeshan police station to lodge a complaint about the alleged serial rape of Nirbhayan in November 2016, after which the police registered a case.

In September, the woman went to the police station in Harkasagarhal, and then she was sent to the Haryansagarh police station where she was registered under the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (PCCL) Act.

She was given a medical report on January 19 and the accused was arrested after she refused to submit to medical examination.

The police said in their press release that the video was recorded on a CCTV camera at the Harkhashan police facility.

The press release also said that the police have been informed about the incident of Nirbhi Yadav, a woman who was allegedly raped by her husband’s uncle in December, 2015, but who later filed a complaint with the police.

According to the press release, the victim was a resident of Harkasheran, a village in Hoshiarpur, who worked as a secretary in the Hoshiarabad police station.
