The next Avengers film will hit theaters sometime next year, and Tom Hanks will be joining the film’s cast as Nick Fury.
In a new interview with Recode, the actor revealed that the upcoming movie will be an entirely different version of the first Avengers film, in which he will play a villain.
Hanks also said he has no idea what the plot will be, other than that it will involve the return of Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow.
The interviewer asked him about whether the sequel will feature a cameo from Mark Ruffalo, but the actor was quick to defend the character, noting that he and Ruffalo have a history of supporting each other.
“I can’t comment on that,” Hanks said.
“We have an amazing friendship.
I’m glad to see him again.
I hope he does a great job.
I think he’s fantastic.”
Hanks went on to say that the Avengers sequel will likely feature a new villain.
“I think the story will be a little bit different,” Hiddlsaid.
“You’ll see a lot more of Nick Fury, a little more of Hawkeye.
Hanks and his co-stars were asked whether the next film will have more than one film in it. “
The story is about Nick Fury trying to figure out who is the new leader of the Avengers, who’s really the hero, and who’s the new villain.”
Hanks and his co-stars were asked whether the next film will have more than one film in it.
“Maybe,” Hidleston said, adding that it would be up to Marvel to tell them what it was.
Hanks’ Avengers team is made up of his son Samuel, wife Sophie and daughter-in-law and agent Skye.
